St. Peter's Square was filled last Sunday with uniforms of all kinds to experience the second great jubilee event of this Year 2025: military personnel, police officers, firefighters and other security agents from different parts of the world came to Rome to celebrate the Jubilee of the Armed Forces, Police and Security this weekend, February 8 and 9.

Pope Francis, in the homily of this Sunday's Mass, addressed a word of hope to them: “Your presence teaches us that, despite everything, good can win; it teaches us that we can create a more human, more just and more fraternal world, despite the opposing forces of evil.”.

The Jubilee is an opportunity to take up this certainty that God conquers evil and that, in history, it is good that has the last word! May this Holy Year of Hope give all of us, wherever we find ourselves, this certainty, as the Holy Father said: “that's when the miracle happens: when the Lord climbs into the boat of our life, bringing us the good news of God's love that always accompanies and sustains us, then life begins again, hope is reborn, lost enthusiasm returns.”.
