The top floor

St. Francisco Marto once said to Lucia and Jacinta: “In a little while, Our Lord will take me close to him and then I will always see him”. This was the great desire of this little boy's heart: to always be close to Our Lord and to look at him. His childlike heart ardently desired the Kingdom that was promised to him, so much so that if we spoke to him about Heaven, the top floor, Francisco would say: “That's where I want to live!” May he teach us to become like children, because, as Jesus told us, it is to them that the Kingdom belongs (cf. Mt 19:14).



The top floor

The top floor is more beautiful:
you can see the sea from the top floor.
That's where I want to live.

The top floor is too far away:
it takes a long time to get there.
But that's where I want to live.

The whole sky stays all night
on the top floor.
That's where I want to live.

When there's a moon on the terrace
all the moonlight remains.
That's where I want to live.


The birds hide there,
so that no one mistreats them:
on the top floor.

You can see the whole world from there:
everything seems close, in the air.
That's where I want to live:

on the top floor.
