PASTORAL IGNIS
Fire | Light

Pastoral IGNIS is the name given to the group that, in the Religious Congregation of the Covenant of St. Mary, is responsible for energizing the Congregation's youth ministry.

The IGNIS group is a youth group linked to the Religious Congregation of the Covenant of St. Mary, which, in the light of Jesus' words "I have come to bring fire to the earth and what do I want if not for it to be kindled" (Lk 22:49), wishes to mark its generation by its difference, becoming a fire that burns within humanity.

Through a testimony of faith that is consistent with the Gospel, this group is aimed at all those who want the same thing that St. Jacinta wanted: to put the fire in everyone's heart that was in her chest and that made her love the heart of Jesus and Mary so much.

The name IGNIS, which means fire/light, refers to the desire for each activity to have the effect of spreading the fire that Jesus spoke of in the Gospel and for each member of the group to be, like the little shepherds of Fatima, "lamps that God lights to illuminate humanity".
