REPAIR

The RePaRo movement consists of a group of people who make a commitment to pray a rosary every day in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for peace in the world.

This movement provides a response to THREE ORDERS of Our Lady in Fatima:

  • REPAIR, This is understood as a call to solidarity and co-responsibility in love for the salvation of the world;
  • Prayer for PEACE in the world;
  • THE ROSARY, This is Our Lady's most requested prayer.

On December 8th of each year, at the Eucharist, we entrust this movement and its members to Our Lady.
To take part, simply sign up by following the instructions on the registration form.
This movement is a transformation of the “National Rosary Crusade”. This began in 1975 and consisted of a commitment to pray the rosary daily in reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for Portugal. In the mid-1970s, Portugal was going through a period marked by political instability and some uncertainty about the possibility of living out one's faith and religious practice in freedom. This complex situation confirmed the need and urgency to respond to Our Lady's calls at Fatima. The sisters, inspired by a similar movement that began in Austria in the 1950s, promoted this commitment among the people of God and achieved the prayer of around one million rosaries offered in reparation by the members who joined this activity. This intense prayer effort was offered to Our Lady during the Eucharist on the Solemnity of Christ the King, November 23, 1975. Since then, the movement has continued.
